Festivals and tournament series in Lima 9

The cards here are series rather than clubs: tournaments that come back under the same name, organised by a school, a district council or an independent organiser. One of them is international: the Festival Internacional de Ajedrez Claretiano, held by Colegio Claretiano in the Coliseo Claret of its San Miguel campus, with blitz, rapid and age-group sections and a cash prize fund.

Schools in the north run cups of their own: the Copa Trini of Colegio Hispanoamericano Trini and the school games hosted by Colegio Santo Domingo de Guzmán, both in Carabayllo. Colegio Newton in La Molina has a numbered rapid series. The councils of Miraflores, Surquillo and Bellavista organise events for school-age and club players, and Chess Perú and Eco Plaza & Magic Chess run long numbered open series.
