About this list

This page brings together every place in Lima where a game can be had over a real board, sorted by kind: clubs, academies that hold tournaments, the series of schools and district councils, and independent organisers such as Chess Perú and Eco Plaza & Magic Chess in Ate. The district of each place is on its tile.

San Juan de Miraflores and Comas carry the largest groups, both with clubs that run frequent tournaments for children and teenagers. Miraflores, Surquillo, Barranco and Surco have the council tournaments, the academies of Entre Maestros and Mate Chess and the Wednesday evenings of Barranco Crema. Nearer the centre, the Círculo Peruano in Breña lists more events than any other place here, most of them its Monday blitz, and the Centro Metropolitano on Avenida 28 de Julio adds blitz and family tournaments. Further out, Carabayllo has school cups, Pachacámac the Jireh cups for under-twelves in Manchay, and Bellavista in Callao the Sunday tournaments of SDA Club 64.
