Rapid chess across Lima 25

Rapid tournaments are the most common kind of event in Lima, and they are spread over the whole city. Academies run many of them: Armagedón in San Miguel has numbered its rapid events past the hundred and fiftieth, and Entre Maestros in Surquillo and Mate Chess Academy in Surco hold rapid opens too. Chess Perú, in San Juan de Miraflores, runs a numbered rapid series of its own.

Schools are part of the circuit as well. Colegio Newton in La Molina holds a numbered series of rapid tournaments, Colegio Santo Domingo de Guzmán in Carabayllo hosts school games, and the Festival Internacional de Ajedrez Claretiano in San Miguel has rapid sections. On Sundays Eco Plaza & Magic Chess in Ate holds open rapid tournaments at Eco Plaza on Avenida La Molina.
